Friday, May 26th:
• The Varsity Baseball team defeated Grant County 12-1 in the first round of the 32nd District Final, the Bearcats then fell to Simon Kenton in the District Finals.  They draw on Sunday for Regional Games on Monday, 5/29 at Anderson County time TBD. 

Monday, May 22nd:

• The Varsity Softball team fell to Simon Kenton 2-1 in the 32nd District Tourney  

Saturday, May 20th:
• The Varsity Baseball defeated Eminence High School 14-0 in five innings.  Senior Zach Berke picked up the win.  
• The Varsity softball team defeated Eminence High School in five innings 11-1.  Faith Alford hurls a no-no. Addisyn Michael drops a 3-1 bomb onto 1-71 in the first inning as the Bearcats jumped out to an 8-0 lead. Erin Beighle and Alyson Poore each doubled in a pair of runs. Lacey Alford recorded 2 hits and Emily Turner knocked in 2 runs for the 13-12 Bearcats!!
• The Varsity track teams competed at the KHSAA State Track Meet at UK.  Luke Lawson won the 110M & 300m hurdles at state, along with the 4x8 Girls Relay team of Akins, Craig, Ponzer & Waters)


Thursday, May 18th:

• The Varsity Baseball team fell to Owen County 3-2

Wednesday, May 17th:

• The Middle School Girls & Boys Soccer teams fell to Bowling Middle School.
• Senior Soccer Player Ben Brown signed with Cincinnati Christian University

Tuesday, May 16th:

• Varsity Baseball team defeated St. Henry 6-4 with Logan Harris getting the win going the distance:
o Micah Alford 2 hits and RBI; Jake Kopser a 2B and 2 RBI’s; Logan Harris, James Tilley, and Jeremy Moran all 1 hit and 1 RBI; Perry with 2 hits. 
• Varsity Softball team defeated Cooper 6-5, Great win for Bearcats!
o Faith Alford goes the distance to gut out her 9th victory!
o Addisyn Michael and Brooke Perry each banged out 2 hits and knocked in a run. Aubri Anderson knocked in two runs and Alyson Poore singled in a run. Big defensive plays were turned in by Alyson Poore, Addisyn Michael, Emily Taylor, and Brooke Perry. The Bearcats have clawed their way back to .500 at 12-12.

Monday, May 15th:
• The Varsity Softball team defeated Bishop Brossart 6-4:
o Faith Alford scatters 3 hits to pick up the hard earned victory. Aubri Anderson 3-4, 2 runs, and swiped 5 bags. Rachel Hendren bangs out 2 hits and knocks in 3 runs. A great day for our two seniors!!!
o JV Softball defeated the Lady Mustangs 15-9
• The Varsity Baseball team fell to Beechwood 9-7.
o Jake Kopser was 4-5 with 2 doubles; Jeremy Moran 2-2 with a double, and Tyler Wagner was 3-4 with a double and 3 RBI’s
• The Middle School Baseball team fell to Grant County
• The Middle School Boys Soccer team fell to Carroll 4-1, while the girls fell to the Panthers 1-0.

Saturday, May 13th:
• The Varsity baseball team fell to North Oldham 5-4
o Hitting leaders were Logan Harris 2-4, James Tilley 3-4, Jeremy Moran 2-4, and Tyler Wagner 2-3
o Tyler Wagner went the distance with 7 strikeouts. 
• The Varsity Track teams will be competing in the State Track Meet in Lexington on Saturday at 9:00AM.
o Girls State Qualifiers:  4x8, 4x2, 4x1, 4x4, Relay Members: Akins, Waters, Craig, Ponzer, Webster, King, McVay, Mulcahy, Harden; Mulcahy -100; Lohr-1600, 3200; Akins- 800, 3200; Waters- 800; Strunk- Shot Put; Ponzer- HJ

Thursday, May 11th:
• The Middle School girls soccer team fell to Bowling Middle yesterday.

Wednesday, May 10th:
• Both the girls and boys teams finished in the top 5 of the region yesterday at the Regional at Dixie:
o State Qualifiers were Ashley Akins, McCall Ponzer, Luke Lawson, Trey Bonne, Curry Shazier, Julia Strunk, and a bunch of relay teams.
o At Large State qualifiers will be announced on Sunday when state times will be looked at from all regionals, so many work track athletes will be going to state! 

Tuesday, May 9th:
•  Middle School Girls Soccer team defeated Carroll County 2-0.  Emma Ryan and Zadie Dorsey both scored goals for the Bearcats in the win.

Monday, May 8th:

• Varsity Softball fell to Tates Creek 8-2
o Aubri Anderson went 3-4 with an RBI; Bonnie Walton had a double.
o Varsity Baseball team fell to Simon Kenton 7-3:
• Middle School Baseball defeated Newport 16-1
• Girls Regional Tennis Tourney:  Morgan Rabe and Gracey Mazuk doubles team advanced to the 2nd round of the regional tourney. 

Friday & Saturday, May 5th & 6th:
• Varsity Softball team defeated Cooper 11-9 & Holy Cross 6-4 to win the Holmes Invitational Tournament this weekend:
o Addisyn Michael had a triple and 3 RBI’s, Faith Alford 204, with Aubri Anderson & Alyson Poore each scored 3 runs in win over Cooper.
o In win over Holy Cross Faith Alford scattered 4 hits and picked up the win.  Aubri Anderson collected two hits, scored 2 runs, Rachel Hendren had an RBI single, Bonnie Walton had 3 putouts and 5 assists, while Sophie Wassem knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly.
o Aubri Andreson, Bonnie Walton, and Rachel Hendren were named to the All Tournament team with Faith Alford being named MVP. 
• The Varsity Baseball team played in the All “A” State Elite A falling to Lexington Christian 7-3 in 10 innings.  Bearcats led 3-0 in top of the 7th but could not hold onto the lead. 
o Braxton Foley was masterful on the mound and also had two hits with an RBI; Micah Alford had 2 hits; Jake Kopser & Dawson Moffett both had RBI’s in the game. 

Wednesday, May 3rd:
• Middle School Girls Soccer falls to Henry County 6-0; Boys Soccer falls to Henry County 8-0
• Middle School Northern Kentucky Championships: 
o Sammy Webster, Zane Perry, Robert Streine, and Alex Baker came in second overall in the boys 4 by 4 and 4 by 8.
o Zane Perry came in 4th in the 400.
o Jacob Gaines came in 3rd in the 200.
o Maggie Buerger 2nd in Shot Put and Discuss

Tuesday, May 2nd:
• Varsity Baseball defeats Villa Madonna 8-0 to improve to 15-4 on the season. 
o Bearcats with 14 hits led by James Tilley 2-4 with a HR; Jeremy Moran 2-4 with a double; Foley 2-4 with a Double; Brauer 2-4 with a triple and Tyler Wagner 2-4
• Varsity Softball fell to Owen County 4-3 in 10 innings. Faith Alford pitched a strong 10 innings, with Rachel Hendren and Aubrey Anderson leading the way at the plate. 

Monday, May 1st:
• Varsity Boys & Girls Tennis teams defeated Lloyd 5-0.

Thursday, April 27th:
• Varsity Softball defeated Bracken County 17-2 in 4 innings. 
o Alyson Poore collects first win on the mound.
o Brooke Perry had two hits (triple and single) with 4RBI’s; Erin Beighle had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s; Addisyn Michael had two hits with a triple and double
• The Varsity Boys & Girls Tennis teams defeated Grant County 3-2.  
• Middle School Baseball team fell to the Raiders of Trimble County 8-4. 

Wednesday, April 26th:
• Varsity Baseball team defeated KCD 2-1 in the All “A” State Sectional.  They will now play on May 6th at 10:00AM at Whitaker Bank in Lexington in the Elite 8 State:
o Braxton Foley complete game 3 hitter with 10 strikeouts and 0 walks
o Logan Harris was 1-2 with game winning homerun in the top of the 6th.
o Foley 1-4, Tilley 1-1, and Brauer 1-2
• Varsity Girls Tennis fell to Boone County 4-1; Addie Hincks and Madi Rabe were winners in #1 Doubles.

Tuesday, April 25th:
• Middle School baseball team defeated Bellevue 22-4
• Boys & Girls Middle School Soccer falls to Owen County and Williamstown
• Varsity Softball falls to Grant County 8-1. 

Monday, April 24th:
• Varsity Softball defeated Carroll County 9-5:
o Faith Alford went the distance for the win
o Hitting leaders were Bonnie Walton 4-4, Aubri Anderson 2-2; Addisyn Michael 2-3 with a double, and faith Alford 2-4
• Varsity baseball defeated Gallatin County 5-0, with Logan Harris getting the complete game win:
o Hitting Leaders: James Tilley 2-2, Jeremy Moran 2-3, Tyler Wagner 2-3, and Logan Harris 2-4 with 3 RBI’s. 
• Varsity Boys Tennis defeated Carroll County 4-1, while the girls fell 5-0 to the Panthers.
• Middle School Baseball defeated Eminence 12-2. 
• Varsity Boys & Girls Track teams had convincing wins over Scott High School in a Dual Meet! 

Saturday, April 22nd:

The Bass Fishing team competed in the KHSAA Regional Tournament at Lake Cumberland on Saturday.  Colton Catlett and Hunter Ruber caught the maximum of 5 fish, with a weight of around 8 lbs.  

Friday, April 21st: 
• The Varsity Baseball team defeated Trimble County 3-1:
o Jeremy Moran got the win with 7 strikeouts; Jake Kopser went 1-3 with a double; Jeremy Moran was 1-2 with an RBI; Micah Alford was 13 with a double and an RBI; Braxton Foley & Kyle Clines each had huge sacrifice bunts that led to the winning runs.  The Bearcats are now 12-4 on the season.
• The Softball team fell to NCC 3-1.  Faith Alford went the distance for the 4th straight day for the Lady Bearcats. 

Thursday, April 20th
• The Varsity softball team defeated Lloyd 15-7
o Faith Alford got the win, going all 7 innings.
o Aubri Anderson  went 2-3, scoring 4 runs; Addisyn Michael was 2-3 with 4 RBI’s; Alyson Poore and Rachel Hendren each has 2 RBI’s.
• The Varsity Baseball team defeated Williamstown 12-2 in 5 innings:
o Travis Smith got the win; Micah Alford was 3-4 with 2 doubles and 3RBI’s; Logan Harris was 2-2 with 2 RBI’s

• Boys Tennis team won the NCKC Conference Title with Jacob Elstun winn ing the All “A” Singles title, with Jacob Elstun finishing as runner up. 
• Middle School Baseball team fell to Carroll County 3-2.
• Varsity Softball team fell to Williamstown 4-3 in 8 innings.
• Boys & Girls Track teams won the NCKC Conference Titles:
o Boys Conference Champions:  Lawson 200/110 Hurdles/300Hurdles, Schlutz 1600/3200; C. Shazier Triple Jump; M. Shazier Discus; Bonne High Jump;
o Girls Conference Champions: Webster 100 hurdles; Mulcahy 100; Baker Discuss; Gutman High Jump; Akins 800/1600.

Tuesday, April 18th:
• NCKC Boys Tennis Tourney:  Ben & Jacob Elstun qualified for the singles Championship. Will be playing this Conference Championship at the Complex at 4:30!   
• Middle School Girls Soccer fell to Carroll County 3-0, Boys Middle School team fell to Carroll County 4-1
• Middle School Baseball team defeated Calvary 13-6
• Varsity Softball team defeated Simon Kenton 8-6, while the JV Girls fell to the pioneers 9-6.
o Highlights from the Varsity win:  Brooke Perry game tying two out grand slam to tie the game in the 6th.  Alyson Poore and Faith Alford RBI’s doubles to give Bearcats the lead.  Aubrielle Anderson 2-2 on the night, and Alford with the complete game win. 
o Varsity Baseball team defeated Simon Kenton 10-8:
o Logan Harris the win, Braxton Foley the save
o James Tilley 2-5, Jake Kopser 2-4, Foley 2-4, Brauer 3-5

Saturday, April 15th: 
Varsity Track Teams at Campbell County:
o Girls Results:  Akins 3rd 800; Webster 3rd Hurdles; 4x1 3rd; Strunk 2nd in Shot Put; Girls finished 8th out of 19 teams. 
o Boys Results: Curry Shazier 1st in Triple Jump; Matt Shazier 3rd in Discuss; Lawson 2nd in Hurdles; Boys finished 7th out of 20 teams.  
Varsity Baseball fell to Henry County 7-6, but the JV Team defeated the Wildcats 11-6.  

Friday, April 14th
The Varsity Baseball team defeated Trimble County 4-3 to win the 8th Region All “A” Tournament 
o 8th Grader Travis Smith came in to the game with the bases loaded and no outs in the 4th inning and finished out the game!!
o Tyler Wagner went 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIS; James Tilley was 1-3 with a double and RBI.
o All Tournament Team was Braxton Foley, Logan Harris, Travis Smith with James Tilley being named the MVP.

Thursday, April 13:

The Varsity Baseball team won their semi final game of the 8th Region All “A” Classic v. Gallatin County 6-1 to improve to 8-3 on the season.
o Braxton Foley pitched a complete game 2 hitter, striking out 13.
o Hitting leaders James Tilley 2-4 with a HR, Logan Harris 1-3 with a HR and 3RBI’s;

Monday, April 10th:
 
The Varsity Softball team fell in the first round of the 8th Region All “A” Classic to Williamstown 5-4.  

Saturday, April 8th:

The JV Baseball team fell to Carroll County 5-0 on Saturday.
The Varsity Baseball team defeated Carroll County 12-2 on Saturday
o Winning pitcher was Logan Harris, with Zack Bertke getting the hold
o James Tilley went 4-4 with 3 RBI’s; Braxton Foley 2-3; Tyler Wagner hit a walk off 2 run double to win the game in the 5th.  
The Varsity Softball team trailed Holy Cross 8-0 before scoring 7 runs. The comeback came up short and they fell to the Indians 10-7.  

 

Friday, April 7th: 
Varsity Baseball team defeated Lloyd 10-9, winning pitcher was Jeremy Moran with Tyler Wagner getting the save.  Hitting Leaders: Tilley 4-5 with 4 RBI's'; Kopser 2-4, RBI; Wagner 2-3 RBI; Alford 2-3
Middle school boys track team finished 2nd at Cooper meet, while the girls finished 4th.
o Girls Highlights:  Gabby Hall 3rd in 200; 4x400 2nd; 4x800 4th; Maggie Beurger first in Shot Put and Discuss
o Boys Highlights: Jacob Gaines 2nd in 100, 200, and High Jump; Zane Perry 2nd in 400; Christian Dingus 3rd in 100 Hurdles & 4th in 300 Hurdles; 4x100 2nd; 4x200, 400, 800 all first; Trey Hatmaker 3rd in shot put and 2nd in discuss. 
Tuesday, April 4th:

The Varsity Baseball team defeated Williamstown 7-1.
o Dawson Moffett pitched 5 innings to get the win giving up zero earned runs. Zach Bertke shut the door with 2 scoreless innings. 
o Hitting leaders for the Bearcats were: Jake Kopser with a 3run homerun; Kyle Clines was 3-4 with 2 RBI; James Tilley was 2-4 with an RBI; Tyler Wagner was 2-4; Jeremy Moran was 1-4 with an RBI 
The JV Boys baseball team defeated Williamstown 9-0. 
o Travis Smith threw a 1 hit shutout striking out 16 batters in 5 innings. 
The Tennis teams both defeated Pendleton County 3-2.  
The Varsity Softball team defeated Bellevue 16-0 in 3 innings.  Christene Valvano got the win with Rachel Hendren going 3-3 with 2 RBI’s, Aubrey Anderseon 2-3 with 2 RBI’s, and Brooke Perry 2-2 with 2 RBI’s.  
The Middle School Girls Track team placed 12 out of 21 teams at Lloyd last night, while the boys finished 3rd.    
Monday, April 3rd:

The Varsity Baseball team fell to Grant County 7-1

Saturday, April 1st: 

The Varsity Baseball team won the Gary Huhn Tourney with a 15-0 win over Ludlow:
o Jeremy Moran pitched a no hit in the win, and Kyle Klines added a 3 run Homerun in the win.
o Jake Kopser and Jeremy Moran were named to the All Tourney Team, and Tyler Wagner was named MVP.  
The Varsity Track teams hosted the WVHS Invite over the weekend with over 80 teams competing. 
o The boys finished 6th in the meet.  Curry Shazier won the triple jump, Trey Bonne finished 3rd in the High Jump, Luke Lawson won both the 110 & 300 Hurdles.  Luke was also named Meet MVP.
o The girls team finished 13th.  Julia Strunk was 4th in the shot put, 4x8 relay team was 6th, Ashley Akins finished 5th in the 3200, 

 

Friday, March 31st
The Varsity Baseball team defeated Grant County on Friday 10-3 in the semi Finals of the  Gary Huhn Tourney.  
o Tyler Wagner got the win pitching over 5 innings, striking out 13
o Hitting Leaders:  Logan Harris 2-4, Braxton Foley 2-4 with RBI, Jeremy Moran with a triple and RBI, Jake Kopser 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.  

Thursday, March 30th

The Varsity Softball team fell to Dixie Heights 10-0.    
The Varsity Baseball team defeated Newport yesterday 16-1 in the first round of the Gary Hun Tourney.  
o Zach Bertke was the winning pitcher. Kyle Clines got the 2 inning save. Hitting leaders for the Batcats were James Tilley who went 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI, Tyler Wagner was 2-3 with a double, Braxton Foley had a hit with 3 RBI, Micah Alford was 1-2 with 2 RBI, and Jake Kopser was 1-1 with 3 runs scored.

Wednesday, March 29th:
 
Varsity boys and girls tennis teams fell to Ryle
The Varsity softball team defeated St. Henry 9-1, Christine Valvano got the win for the Bearcats.  

 

Monday, March 27th
Varsity Boys & Girls Tennis fell to Simon Kenton. Boys lost 3-2, Girls lost 5-0

 

Saturday, March 25th: 
JV Baseball team defeated Henry County 4-1
The Varsity baseball team fell to the Wildcats of Henry County 4-1
Varsity Softball team defeated Beechwood 19-2.  
·       The Middle School Baseball team fell in the Oldham County tournament on Saturday falling to Oldham County, Anderson County and West Jessamine.  

 

Friday, March 24th: 
JV Baseball team defeated Simon Kenton 11-10
Varsity Softball team fell to Boone County 13-2
Track at Boone Winners:  Lawson both hurdles, Bonne High Jump, Girls 4 x 8
o Top 3 Finishers: Webster hurdles, Waters 400, Shazier High Jump, Strunk Shot Put, Zwick Discuss

Thursday, March 23rd:

The Varsity Softball team fell to Campbell County 12-0

Wednesday, March 22nd: 

The Varsity Baseball team fell to Highlands 12-0.
The Varsity Boys Tennis team remained unbeaten defeating Boone County 5-0. 

Tuesday, March 21st: 
The Varsity Boys Tennis Team remained unbeaten with a 5-0 win over Dixie Heights
The Varsity Boys & Girls Track team won the Lloyd Invitational:
o Girls winners were:  Brandey Webster in both hurdles and 100 yard dash, Lauren Mulcahy in the 200, McCall Ponzer in the 400 and High Jump, and Grace Baker in the shot put.  
o Boys Winners were: Lawson in the 400 & 110 Hurdles, Bonne in the High Jump, and Curry Shazier in the Triple Jump
The boys baseball team defeated holy cross last night by a score of 8 to 4. Braxton Foley was the winning pitcher. Dawson Moffett got the save. Hitting leaders were Jeremy Moran who went 1-2 with four RBI, Tyler Wagner 1-2 with a homerun and Logan Harris had two hits and an RBI. 
The Middle School Baseball team fell to Trimble County 9-3
The Middle School Track teams both won the Lloyd Invite:
o Girls Winners were:  Spillman in the hurdles, C. Waters in the 200, 400, 800, Gamm in the 100, Hurles in the 1600, Lightner in the 300 hurdles, and Buerger in the Shot and Discuss
o Boys Winners were: Perry in the 800 & 1600, Delahunty in the 400.  

Monday, March 20th: 

The Varsity boys tennis team defeated Gallatin County 4-1 yesterday, while the JV Girls team fell to the wildcats 3-0. The Varsity boys host Dixie today at 4:00 at the sports complex.
The Varsity Softball team fell to Henry County 9-2. Addisyn Michael hit a homerun in the loss, while Faith Alford had a double.  


Saturday, March 18th

Over the weekend the girls and boys Varsity track teams competed at the Villa Relay for Life.  
The girls finished 4th out of 19 and were led by outstanding efforts from all relay teams, Ashley Akins and Madison Lohr in the 2 mile, Emma Gutman in the High Jump and Julia Strunk and Grace Baker in the Throwing Events.
The boys also had a great day finishing in 6th place out of 20 team.  Junior Hurdler Luke Lawson led the way winning the 110 Hurdles.  Trey Bonne also had a great day clearing 5 feet 10 inches in high jump while Matt Shazier placed 3rd in the Turbo Javelin.  The Boys sprint relay teams also pulled of top 3 finishes.

Wednesday, March 8th:
 
The Boys Tennis team defeated Cooper yesterday 3-2, while the Varsity Girls Tennis team fell to the Jags 3-2  


Thursday, March 2nd: 
The Varsity Boys Basketball fell in the 8th region tournament to South Oldham last night.  The Bearcats finish the year 26-7, 8th Region All “A” Champs, NCKC Conference Champs, and 32nd District Champions.
