This week in Reading:
Monday- Reading chapter 9 in Shiloh and working on writing a summary of the chapter and collaborate in groups.
Tuesday- Read chapter 10 in Shiloh and work on main idea.
Wednesday- Review for reading test by playing Kahoot.
Thursday- Test over summarizing, main idea and inferences.

Students need to have a book picked out and approved for the book project by October 26th. Students will not be permitted to change his or her book after this date, asone of the goals of the book project is to learn time management and to work on a task over a long period of time. The book project is not due until December 10th. On Thursday and Friday students will  continue to read our class novel, Shiloh,  while also working on main idea and inferencing.

Reading homework policy: Students will be given a homework assignment every Monday, and it is due on Friday. If a student finishes early he or she may turn it in at any time. Late assignments will be accepted, however students will lose a point each week the assignment is late. The title of this week’s homework assignment is Under the Big Top.

Help our classroom earn FREE books! When you place a Scholastic Book order, our class gets points to be used towards free books! Students will be given a brochure with books, or you can browse books atscholatic.com/bookclubs. If you do not already have an account you can create one for free.
